What is a domain name?
A unique name that identifies your website is a domain name. It comes with different extension, and a user has an option to register a name with a suitable extension that suits his business needs. for e.g. ".com is for commercial companies, .org is commonly used by organization likes Trusts, or non-profile making organizations, .co. in is for commercial companies in India, etc... For more details please contact our sales department.

How do I register a domain name?
A provision, requesting to check the availability of domain names is given on this website. In either case you would like to do it on your own, please visit Register.com to find the appropriate domain name. Afterwards, you simply have to send us a request along with your contact details as per the form provided and we will have it registered for you. The domain name can be booked for a minimum time period of 1 yrs, and has to be renewed every year to continue using the same identity on the internet.

Do I have to change my domain if I get a new host?
No. By changing the nameserver of your site you can change the host. The only thing is that the domain has to be registered in your name (as it should be).

What is Domain Parking?

If a domain is not parked it will simply be inaccessible to anyone. Hosting a temporary web page stating "web site under - construction" on it is called as Domain parking.

What are subdomains?

A website, for example having a URL like test.domain.com is called as a subdomain. Subdomains are usually treated as separate sites from the main domain site.

What DNS should my domain name point to?
After your domain is booked, we will create all the details and mail it to you. However, all virtual hosting accounts point to:
ns2.fastdcservers.net
ns3.fastdcservers.net

Do you support all domain name extensions?
Yes, we support all the standard domain name suffixes.

I have been notified that my account has been set up but my site is still not active. ?
At times due to some technical limitation it would take somewhere about 48 hours for a domain to get activated. Or at times the activated because of incorrect entries of DNS servers, or that your ISP's DNS server has not yet been updated. It generally takes 24 hours for domain names to become active. This is just how the Internet works; there is no way we can speed up the process.

I have NOT been notified that my account has been set up and its been over 24 hours.?
This could be caused by a provisioning error. If you have not received any e-mails from us with a few hours of ordering please contact us via live chat or via e-mail.
